We are simply believers in the Christ of the New Testament. We believe he was/is the Son of God, and has all authority in religious matters. He came to earth and preached the Word. He gave authority to his chosen apostles to preach the Gospel, which is God's power to salvation, Romans 1:16
. The Gospel has commands to be obeyed, that the promise of eternal life might be realized. We are doing our best to comply with these conditions, that God would indeed recognize us as Christians, Acts 11:26
.
We are not a radical cult. We are trying to be Christians after the teachings of the New Testament. We believe it must be followed without addition, subtraction, changes or substitution. We plead for unity among believers based upon the Word of God. We call all men back to the Bible. We plead with all to speak as the oracles of God, 1 Peter 4:11
. Departure from the doctrine of Christ, and the addition of human traditions into religion have produced denominationalism. Division is sinful, 1Corintians 1:10
. We are to speak the same thing, the Word of God. If all would do that, we would have unity. Unity on the Word of God is a basis all should be able to accept. It is not pleading for our way over yours or visa-versa, but for God's way over all of us. We feel this is a noble, worthy cause. We simply want to be a church that belongs to Christ, by allowing Him to be the head, Ephesians 1:22-23
.
Some congregations in the past have worn the designation church of Christ, but have not held the line with the doctrine of Christ and thus went into error. In spite of the tremendous amount of false doctrine being taught, and the many departures from truth today, we must recognize that there is a way of salvation, Acts 24:14
. Whoever abides not in the doctrine of Christ has not God, II John 9
.
The good news is that in spite of churches of men, there is the church that Jesus built. He said he will build it in Matthew 16:18
. He was adding to it in Act 2:47
. Those added had come to believe in the Christ, repented of their sins and were baptized (immersed in water) for (in order to) the remission of their sins, Acts 2:38
. Friends, he will add you to his church when you do the same thing. We must then continue in the apostle's doctrine, Acts 2:42
(which is the doctrine of Christ), and walk in newness of life, Romans 6:4
. This is not radical teaching. This is the way to save your soul.
Are you tired of denominational confusion and division? Why not contact us to investigate the truth? Our pulpit is open to any sincere man with an opposing viewpoint at any mutually agreeable time. Eternity is in the balance. Consider carefully.
